libSeqIO is a open source protect that will reimplement an old C library (seqIO) in C++. It is being hosted on SourceForge.
What might someone want with something like libSeqIO? Well if you are a computational biologist and need to be able to parse sequence files for any reason. Or if you are writing a Sequence Editor. I am writing this library in part to use on Genejock but also in part to provide to the general public a better way to handle genetic sequence data.
I am looking for:
- C++ programmers
- A webpage guru
- Database programmers
- Biologists (molecular, general, biochemists) who want to use, test, make suggestions, lend a brain, etc.
